I studied business, then international relations, then spent years working across public, commercial, and nonprofit settings. What connects this path is not an industry label, but a recurring kind of problem: incomplete information, competing rules, multiple stakeholders, and decisions that still have to be made.
AI became a natural extension of that path. I began building systems that could preserve context, expose disagreement, and support people without replacing their judgment.
Experience
Environmental Defense Fund 2023–2026
Working inside a global environmental NGO on sustainable trade and climate strategy meant navigating evidence, diplomacy, and institutional constraints all at once. But the deeper education of these years was watching AI cross a threshold: from 2023 to 2026, it stopped being a tool you reached for and started becoming a presence that changed how people divided work, shared context, and decided what required human judgment and what didn't. That shift — from using AI to working alongside it — is what I carry forward.

Content governance at platform scale is rarely about knowing the right answer. It is about exercising judgment when rules are ambiguous, edge cases outnumber clear ones, and decisions set precedent. I handled non-standard cases where policy boundaries were still being drawn, building an intuition for when a system needs a rule and when it needs a human.
China Belt and Road Portal 2020–2021
At the intersection of policy research and international cooperation, I produced analysis on green development, cross-border energy, and infrastructure while coordinating across government, corporate, and research networks. It was an early education in how information moves — and stalls — across institutional boundaries.
